A businesswoman who has seemingly vanished from her $7million mansion could have faked the whole thing, a detective claimed.
Melissa Caddick, 49, has been missing for almost two weeks after she was last heard going for an early morning jog.
She left her home in Sydney, Australia, without her phone or purse, and mysteriously two security cameras at her lavish pad had stopped working only days before.
Her teenage son was in the home gym when he heard the front door shut, assuming his mum was going for her usual 5.30am run.
But she has not been heard from since.
Ms Caddick had her home raided by Australian Federal Police a day before she went missing over allegedly dodgy business dealings.
As police probe the disappearance, one officer told the Daily Telegraph: “Maybe she just doesn’t want to be found.”
Police are still treating the investigation as suspicious, 7News reported.
Caddick’s husband, Anthony Caddick, previously pleaded for Melissa to come home.

He said: “You know how much we love you, please come home, everything’s taken care of, you’re not in trouble.”
The mother-of-one ran a wealth management business that was placed under investigation by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission prior to her disappearance.
In the days leading up to the Friday she was reported missing, the Federal Court banned her from enacting foreign transfers, property sales or withdrawing cash from her 17 bank accounts.

According to Daily Mail Australia, Caddick’s own friends have conflicting theories about what has happened to her.
One friend said: “She's not the type of person who would do something so random.”
Police have so far grilled her husband and son but are at a loss of her whereabouts.
Bondi Crime Manager Stuart Thomas told The Daily Telegraph: “This is a very extensive investigation, it‘s been two weeks now and we are very worried for her welfare.
“We are not ruling anything out at this stage and are working on several theories.”
