Inside Richard Bransons ridiculous new multi-million pound private island

A luxurious new estate on Richard Branson's private Caribbean island is open for anybody willing to splash out £16,745 per night for a stay.

The latest addition to Branson's exclusive Moskito Island resort boasts a two-storey infinity pool and a glass-bottom hot tub.

Called The Village, the nine-bedroom property can accommodate parties of up to 18 guests and joins The Branson Estate, The Oasis Estate and The Point Estate on the island.

The 18,100 sq ft estate, which is set in 3.5 acres, also boasts incredible sea views from its position on the west of the island.

Branson bought Moskito Island for £10million in 2007 and is located close to Necker Island, which the Virgin Media boss owns too.

An ultimate partying retreat, The Village features a hidden DJ booth that rises up from the top deck and looks over the infinity pool, whilst it is planned that a glass-bottom hot tub will be extended over the cliff edge by 2023.

The property's two-storey Master Suite meanwhile includes a 360-degree wrap-around terrace and the estate's rooftop can be accessed by a spiral staircase – complete with lights moving to the beat of the music – from the communal bar.

In addition, all Moskito Island guests have access to two arena-inspired tennis courts and a watersports centre, while The Beach House is home to movie and gaming areas, as well as pizza-making classes.

Dining locations, overseen by the island's team of private chefs, are plentiful too with a picnic on the beach or a candle-lit supper under the Caribbean stars alternative options.

Jon Brown, managing director at Virgin Limited Edition, explained: "The debut of The Village is the next phase in the continuous evolution of Moskito Island – a private island escape unlike any other.

"A decade in the making, The Village Estate takes luxury to new heights, much like its sister estates, with an impressively striking design, state-of-the-art creative amenities and unspoiled panoramic views in the most private of settings."
