Kate in yellow for Wimbledon again despite claims she took Meghan’s ‘style tips’

Kate Middleton wowed fans at the Wimbledon women's final yesterday (June 9) as she paired a bright yellow short-sleeved dress with a green and purple bow gifted to her by the Queen.

It shows the Duchess of Cambridge has brushed off criticism from an earlier Wimbledon appearance where she was accused of taking a page out of Meghan Markle's fashion book, who had donned a very similar bright yellow dress previously.

Royal fans at the time suggested Prince William’s wife took the decision to “wear more colourful outfits” after taking “style tips” from Meghan.

Whilst another pointed out: “Their dresses had the same mid-length cut and were in the exact same shade of yellow.”

Finishing Kate’s 2018 look was a silver watch, along with matching earrings and necklace along with a grey handbag.

But despite the comments pointing out the similarity to Meghan’s style choices, the 40-year-old Duchess has opted to wear a similar yellow dress at Wimbledon again this year.

Her vibrant custom Roksanda fit turned heads for a second time and is thought to have been inspired by the £1,095 Brigitte midi dress in marigold by the designer label.

Royal fans were sent into meltdown over the appearance and one wrote: “Just wow!! She looks stunning, regal, powerful… Catherine oozes class.”

Whilst another gushed: “So elegant. She is the sun, she is elegance. HRH Catherine is beautiful.”

Although the last time Kate wore a bright yellow dress to Wimbledon she sat alongside Meghan Markle, four years down the line a lot has changed.

Royal commentators have spoke of their deteriorating relationship and an expert revealed last month that Kate and Wills have a “lack of trust” for Meghan and her husband Prince Harry.

Katie Nicholl claimed: "I do know that William and Kate are worried that anything they might say or do with the fact that it could end up being leaked to the media.

“So, I think in the case of really having to prove now that they can be trusted.”
