Melania Trump’s fury at Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner: ‘You know they’re snakes!’

Melania Trump’s image was ‘crafted’ says former adviser

Donald Trump left the White House for the last time yesterday as Joe Biden was inaugurated, making him the 46th President of the US. Mr Trump vowed he will “be back in some form” as speculation over a 2024 campaign continues to grow. He added: “I want to thank all of the great people of Washington DC, all of the people we worked with to put this miracle together. So have a good life. We will see you soon. Thank you, thank you very much.”

As he departs, Mr Trump may have to grapple with divisions within his own family, according to reports.

A former friend of Melania Trump’s, Winston Wolkoff, who was also a senior adviser to the former First Lady, claimed that she tried to distance herself from the former President’s daughters.

In her book ‘Melania and Me’, Ms Wolkoff claims Melania took part in “Operation Block Ivanka,” which was their plan to keep the so-called First Daughter out of frame during Mr Trump’s inauguration in 2016.

On top of this, Fox reported that Ms Wolkoff wrote about texts in which Melania allegedly says of Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner: “You know how they are snakes.”

Melania’s chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, responded to the book claiming it is “not only full of mistruths and paranoia, it is based on some imagined need for revenge”.

She added: “Wolkoff builds herself up while belittling and blaming everyone she worked with, yet she still managed to be the victim. Sadly, this is a deeply insecure woman whose need to be relevant defies logic.”

The Mirror also reported this month that tensions between Melania and Ivanka have only worsened in the last four years.

When the Trumps moved into the White House, Ivanka and Melania were “both were respectful of one another’s turf”.

However, one source told the paper that Melania felt Ivanka was “trying to take her place” while the First Daughter felt her stepmother was a “hindrance to what she wanted to achieve”.

Melania may also clash with her husband if he does decide to run for president in 2024.

A White House source told CNN recently that Melania would not be in favour of Mr Trump running again and “just wants to go home” to Florida.

Mr Trump’s ex-chief of staff Mick Mulvaney predicted before November’s vote that he’ll “absolutely” run again if Joe Biden emerged victorious.

Meanwhile, other Republican Party figures will be searching for someone to replace Mr Trump to revive the GOP’s electoral hopes.

Professor Stephen Burman told in November that another celebrity figure could emerge to become the new Republican candidate.

He said: “I certainly don’t rule out the possibility of a celebrity becoming the candidate. The days when presidential candidates have to have legislative experience are gone.

“The way the media is, political communication, celebrities can come straight through.”

US politics expert of Oxford University, Dr Nigel Bowles, also highlighted the division in the Republican Party, claiming many of its politicians privately dislike Mr Trump.

He told “Trump is not a single actor here, he has over the last four years succeeded in bringing together and bringing behind him almost all his party to a degree which is absolutely astonishing.

“Almost everyone on almost all issues almost all of the time. It’s quite remarkable.

“Now many of those people privately don’t have much regard for him, they’ll say all sorts of things in private at dinner parties and in conversations with friends.”
