Panicked Prince Harry is ‘desperate to make late changes to £17m memoir’

A panicked Prince Harry is reportedly desperate to make last-minute changes to his memoir, which is set to release in just over a month.

The bombshell tell-all autobiography penned by the Duke of Sussex is said to be worrying the author, with the worry that some sections "might not look so good".

Harry appears to be worried over the impact the release of his book will have so soon after the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, one royal expert has claimed.

Worries about dealing damage to members of the Royal Family including his father King Charles III could prove troublesome for the upcoming release.

Reports indicate that the Duke of Sussex received an advance of half the £35million deal before the print and release of his book, but it appears the royal has cold feet.

A source speaking to The Sun on Sunday said: "The publishers paid $20million up front because they knew whatever was written would be huge for sales and exposure all around the world.

"But the first draft they received was disappointing as it was a bit too emotional and focused far more on mental health issues than they wanted.

"Eventually, the final draft has been finished and signed off and a lot of money and energy has been spent to make sure it comes out this year."

That same source continued: "But Harry has thrown a spanner in the works as he is desperate to get it refined in the light of the Queen’s death, her funeral and his father Charles taking the throne.

"There may be things which might not look so good if they come out so soon after the Queen’s death and his dad becoming King.

"He wants sections changed. It’s not a total rewrite by any means. He desperately wants to make changes. But it might be too late."

Whether the book can be changed in time for its November release date is up in the air, with Daily Star reporting the book could be released just a few weeks after the mourning period for the Queen is over.
