UK EuroMillions ticket holder scoops £57 million jackpot

One lucky UK EuroMillions ticket-buyer has the luck of the Irish this St Patrick's Day.

It comes as it was announced that the ticket-holder has won Tuesday’s £57 million EuroMillions jackpot, the National Lottery has said.

Tonight's National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers are: 05, 07, 16, 08 and 20.

Lucky Stars are: 12, 02.

One UK millionaire has been created with the Millionaire Maker Selection – TFKR93938.

Camelot's Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at The National Lottery, said, "It's a brilliant result for a UK ticket-holder who has scooped tonight's massive £57 million jackpot.

"Players are urged to check their tickets to see if their wildest dreams have come true."

The jackpot for Friday's EuroMillions draw is an estimated £15 million, the National Lottery said.

The National Lottery Thunderball winning numbers were: 29, 36, 39, 05 and 14 and the Thunderball was 02.

No players managed to match all five numbers and the Thunderball, the National Lottery said.

EuroMillions takes place every Tuesday and Friday at around 8.30pm.

To play the game, you choose five numbers from one to 50 and two lucky star numbers from a pool of 12.

It costs £2.50 per play.

You can buy a ticket on draw days – Tuesday and Friday – up until 7.30pm.

And if you want more games to play, there is also Lotto every Saturday and Wednesday and Set For Life every Monday and Thursday.

The EuroMillions is a lottery which has huge jackpots and is played between many countries in Europe.

You need five numbers and two lucky stars correct to win the jackpot.

The chances of winning it is one in 117million.
