Worlds most dangerous women from Putins ex to White Widow Jihadi bride

When it comes to evil, twisted criminals, men outnumber women, by far.

Yet those women who hold their own among the world's most dangerous terrorists, organised crime king-pins and sadistic murderers, are the stuff nightmares are made of.

From cold-blooded killers, to mafia bosses, terrorist masterminds and drug cartel warriors, these are the most dangerous women in the world.

1. Ghislaine Maxwell

The ex-girlfriend of vile convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein, the former socialite was sentenced to 20 years for child sex trafficking, among other heinous crimes.

Maxwell preyed on vulnerable young girls and would lure them into Epstein's lair, where they became sex slaves.

2. Ruja Ignatova

On the FBI's top 10 most wanted list, Ruja Ignatova is as convicted fraudster and the founder of OneCoin, a crypto-currency Ponzi scheme that has been dubbed "one of the biggest scams in history".

On the run since 2017, Ignatova has defrauded victims out of more than $4billion (£3.2billion) through the scheme, which is still in operation.

3. Jihadi Jane

American Colleen R. LaRose, who called herself Jihadi Jane, was sentenced to 10 years in jail for her role in a failed plot to kill Swedish artist Lars Vilks.

He had depicted the head of the Muslim Prophet Mohammad on a dog.

LaRose pleaded guilty and admitted to following orders in from alleged Al-Qaeda operatives in 2009.

4. Anna Kuschenko

According to the CIA, Anna Kuschenko – who also went by Chapman and was rumoured to once be in a relationship with Putin – was just six months off becoming "the most dangerous spy in American history".

Along with nine others, Kuschenko successfully attempted to infiltrate the upper echelons of American societal institutions, passing information on to Moscow.

5. Abedo

Afghan mother-of-nine Abedo – whose full name is unknown – began fighting in the 1970s after the Soviets invaded her homeland, and is said to have made even the brutal mujahideen flinch.

Following the death of her husband the following decade, Abedo led around 200 soldiers in her continued fight.

Soviet forces retreated in 1989, but she later set up her own small militia after Taliban forces set fire to her shop.

6. Samantha Lewthwaite

Dubbed the 'White Widow', Lewthwaite is allegedly responsible for the deaths of around 400 people.

She has been linked to two terrorists attacks in Kenya by Al-Shabaab, including the devastating mass shooting at Nairobi's Westgate Mall in 2013. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

7. Colonel Fanette Umuraza

The Congolese Revolutionary Army's second leader Umuraza is responsible for ordering mass pillages in which people are murdered in their homes and women and girls raped. She's also been known to have a manicure while her men ransacked villages.

8. Marllory Dadiana Chacon Rossell

Drug trafficker, money launderer and in with the Mexican cartels, Chacon Rossell's operations in Honduras and Panama keep ruthless Mexican drug lords well stocked.

Described as "one of the most prolific narcotics traffickers in Central America", she has overseen the transportation of thousands of kilos of cocaine from Guatemala into Mexico, and on into the United States.

9. Joanna Dennehy

British serial killer Dennehy is one of just three women in Britain's criminal history to have received a whole life order.

In 2013, she was convicted for the barbaric murders of three men in Peterborough, as well as two male dog walkers she stabbed, and once confessed to a lover that she was a "fully committed psychopath".

10. Maria Licciardi

Between 1993 and 2001, Licciardi ran the Camorra crime syndicate in Naples where she ran sex trafficking operations

Her iron rule of the Camorra and its 20 different clans finally began to unravel in 1999, when a dispute over heroin culminated in a car bombing frenzy killing around 200 Neapolitans.

She evaded the police for years, however when cops discovered her hideaway in the attic of a disused building, they found it decked out with marble floors and an outdoor jacuzzi.

11. Enedina Arellano Felix

Enedina Arellano Felix was one of the first female crime lords after rising up through the ranks of a drugs cartel in Tijuana, Mexico.

According to Mexican media, her MO since being thrust into the pinnacle position has been to reduce the level of bloodshed while helping to keep her cartel's profits at a high, so her gang reportedly focuses more on kidnapping than murder.

12. Nisreen Mansour Al Forgani

Al Forgani was a member of Muammar Gaddafi's all-female militias in Libya, and is known to have executed 11 rebels at point-blank range by the age of 19.

She would later go on to claim she'd been coerced into the killings and was sexually abused by senior military figures.
