An enchanting beach ranked among the most secluded in the UK offers an abandoned factory and the chance to enjoy the sands as the only tourist there.<\/p>\n
Traeth Porth Wen Beach features a derelict Victorian brick factory that today looks like some medieval fairytale ruin perched on the coastline.<\/p>\n
The Welsh beauty spot on the isle of Anglesey has become popular with those hunting an unusual photograph for Instagram because of the unique industrial backdrop.<\/p>\n
According to WalesOnline some visitors are said to wild camp overnight to have the place to themselves early the next morning to capture on camera what has been voted the \u201cmost Instagrammable hidden beach\u201d in Wales.<\/p>\n
The main Traeth Porth Wen beach, south of the brickworks, is extremely secluded and is difficult to access.<\/p>\n

It is also a popular stopover for sea kayakers during the rigours of rounding Anglesey\u2019s rocky coast.<\/p>\n Porth Wen produced fire bricks that were needed to line Britain’s steel-making furnaces, and the site continued to expand into the early 20th century.<\/p>\n However the once-thriving site quietened as new brick-making techniques became available and because ships were wary of sailing around Anglesey’s treacherous coast.<\/p>\n The site was abandoned in 1949, largely as it still stands today, making it a particularly rare, historic and spectacular location.<\/p>\n Don’t miss… <\/strong> We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you. More info<\/p>\n It should be stressed that Porth Wen Brickworks, near Llanbadrig, is on private land and should be observed from the Anglesey Coastal Path. Access is at your own risk.<\/p>\n The coastal path is one way to reach the site. The other is to park. But there’s only a handful of parking spots down the country lane towards Torllwyn. There are laybys on the A5025 near the Torllwyn turn and, from these, it’s a 20-minute walk.<\/p>\n Another beach popular among the Instagram brigade is Porth Iago on the Ll\u0177n Peninsula\u2019s northern coast.
