A 'possibly cursed' painting of a young girl that was returned to a charity shop twice because of its aura has been put up for sale again, this time on eBay.

The picture, which shows a young girl wearing a red dress, became infamous after Zoe Elliott-Brown bought it from Hastings Advice Representation Centre (HARC) shop in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex on July 24.

It is now on eBay, and an early bid has already seen someone put down £460 to own the creepy depiction. That's one of some 20 bids, with the auction closing on Tuesday.

The picture had already been bought and returned, with the previous owner claiming it "ruined her life". This led to the charity shop manager added a "possibly cursed" warning for those brave enough to buy it next.

The 36-year-old carer took a snap of the portrait and showed it to mum Jayne who is is said to have become "transfixed", urging her daughter to buy it.

Little did the pair know at the time that their lives were about to be turned upside down, with supposedly supernatural occurrences beginning to happen as soon as they brought it home.

The family's dog Cilla, a Patterdale terrier, began "instantly growling" when the painting was brought into the living room, and allegedly "wouldn't go anywhere near it".

Then Zoe's 68-year-old mum Jayne Elliott-Brown began suffering health issues, including hot flushes, shakiness, and feeling so cold she needed four jumpers to keep warm. Jayne also apparently became "weirdly protective" over the artwork, staring at it repeatedly.
