<\/p>\nThe Met Police have deployed a subtle tactic to sneakily "get a hand" from runaway suspected spy Daniel Khalife's inner circle, according to an expert.<\/p>\n
As the whole world is aware, the 22-year-old escaped from HMP Wandsworth on Wednesday morning (September 6) after slipping out of the jail kitchen and fixing himself to the underside of a food delivery van and then disappearing. <\/p>\n
Britain's most wanted man is now totally AWOL, and officials have moved quickly to have a presence on the streets, at train stations, at sea ports and airports. <\/p>\n

But the police are also trying a much more clandestine tactic, offering a hefty \u00a320,000 reward for information leading to his arrest, but trying to lull some of his inner circle into sharing info. <\/p>\n

That's according to Sky's people and politics correspondent Nick Martin, who added: "I suspect that the reward is more for someone who might be a bit closer to Daniel than a member of the public.<\/p>\n
"The presence of a reward in cases like this… is a way of saying there might be somebody close to him who was helping him, for which a \u00a320,000 reward just might tip the balance of allegiance.<\/p>\n
"A \u00a320,000 reward at this stage of the search suggests to me more of a subtle message [to] somebody who might be helping him than to a general message to the public to say, 'hey, you give us a hand'."<\/p>\n
Police last night said the possible eyewitness sighting of \u00adescaped terror suspect Daniel Khalife \u201ccould be very significant\u201d. <\/p>\n
A shop assistant claims to have watched Khalife make his bid for freedom after he is thought to have escaped Wandsworth Prison by strapping himself to the underside of a delivery truck. <\/p>\n

It came as Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley admitted the \u201cpre-planned\u201d prison flit may have been an inside job. <\/p>\n
When asked if it could be an \u201cinside job,\u201d he replied: \u201cIt is a question.\u201d<\/p>\n
The shop worker described seeing a man he later recognised as Khalife dart across the road outside Wandsworth County Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Police said Khalife was declared missing at 7.50am on Wednesday and they were notified at 8.15am.<\/p>\n
A new Met statement added: "The Met is offering a reward of up to \u00a320,000 for information that leads to the arrest of Daniel Abed Khalife, as detectives investigate a sighting of him near Wandsworth Roundabout.<\/p>\n
"More than 150 of the Met\u2019s counter terrorism officers and staff, with support from colleagues across the Met and in other forces, have been working at pace around the clock, making extensive enquiries to try and find Khalife."<\/p>\n
