Vladimir Putin is using several methods to destabilise the West including promoting anti-Semitism within the borders of Russia’s enemies, an analyst told Daily Express US.

Mykola Volkivskyi, a former advisor in Ukraine’s parliament, said that a peace deal with between Russia and Ukraine was off the table and that the West would be unwise to trust any offer from Vladimir Putin.

Speaking to Daily Express US, he added: “Moscow has intensified its efforts to create artificial crises aimed at destabilising the West, primarily by intensifying migration pressure, in particular on EU countries; fanning anti-Semitism as a ‘new ideology’ and attempting to create zones of instability, tension and ‘grey’ criminal activity on their borders.”

Since the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas, there has been a surge in anti-Semitic incidents across Europe. France is now investigating reports that the painting of anti-Semitic graffiti was ordered from aboard.

Putin has taken an increasing pro-Palestinian stance since Israel declared war on Hamas following an unprecedented terror attack on October 7.

The Russian leader even invited a delegation of Hamas terrorists to Moscow in the weeks after the attack which killed 1,400 Israelis.

The move comes amid a growing alliance between Iran and Russia, the former of which has supplied Russia with weapons for use in Moscow’s war against Ukraine.

In addition to stoking anti-Semitism in the West, Mr Volkivskyi says Putin has exacerbated the migrant crisis in Europe.

Russia’s intervention in Syria contributed to migration pressures there, prompting many Syrians fleeing Russian bombs to make the journey to Europe.

Russia’s ally Belarus has also engaged in so-called hybrid warfare sending migrants to its border with Poland to foment a crisis there.

Recently, there has been talk of US and European officials broaching the subject of a potential peace deal with Kyiv, but Mr Volkivskyi rejects the idea as does Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.
