    Passengers on a flight to Turkey cheered as a drunken holidaymaker from was booted off by police before the plane even left the ground.<\/p>\n

    Paul Carling, 43, from Middlesbrough, had his sunny getaway cut short when he was escorted off the Corendon Airlines flight at Newcastle International Airport. His behaviour on September 6 was labelled "shameful" in Teesside Magistrates' Court after police body-cam footage was shown.<\/p>\n

    Prosecutor Jane Scott described him as "aggressive and abusive" towards police and unable to stand without help, Teeside Live reports.. She said: "Police had been contacted by airport staff who requested the removal of the defendant from the aircraft. On arrival all the passengers were seated."<\/p>\n

    "Police described that he was very very drunk and was abusive when officers escorted him off the plane. Other passengers were more than thrilled at the attendance of police officers who hauled him off, but he was drunk that he couldn't stand up on his own and had to be assisted out of his seat."<\/p>\n

    The court saw footage of the defendant, struggling to walk but helped by police, being cheered off the plane by fellow passengers. The video showed him slurring his words and swearing at officers.<\/p>\n
