One? Okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chuckles from the audience ensued as Bruce tried her best to keep a straight face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood for you &#8211; don\u2019t be intimidated!\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>The measures announced will save a worker on a salary of \u00a335,000 more than \u00a3450 a year &#8211; \u00a3520 for the average nurse and \u00a3630 for the typical police officer.<\/p>\n<p>But the announcement definitely hasn\u2019t impressed everyone, including a prominent Brexiteer.<\/p>\n<p>John Longworth, a former Brexit Party MEP and now chairman of the Independent Business Network of family businesses, warned that Mr Hunt failed to make up for a &#8220;wasted year&#8221; in his Autumn Statement but conceded it does have measures that will start to help the economy.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Longworth said: &#8220;The Chancellor has taken baby steps in the right direction, but let\u2019s not get too excited.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Having wasted a year to justify the politics of power, at last, the Chancellor has come clean that tax cuts promote business and growth and has acknowledged the importance of growth to prosperity and public spending.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/politics\/1838438\/BBC-QT-brutal-verdict-Autumn-Statement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read Full Article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fiona Bruce asks if audience feels confident after Autumn Statement Heard the phrase \u201cyou could hear a pin drop\u201d?
