    A bloke who bagged a massive \u00a34.5 million lottery windfall admitted grabbing his partner by the throat and booting her, a year after he left his wife for her.<\/p>\n

    Barry Chuwen, 54, and his wife Jenny, 55, spent most of their lottery winnings on luxury properties across Glasgow after they won \u00a34.5 million in 1997. <\/p>\n

    Barry, 27 at the time, was a hairdresser when he became the winner of one of Scotland\u2019s biggest ever lotteries. On top of properties, the couple splashed out on posh skiing and golfing holidays, as well as a fleet of supercars. <\/p>\n

    But not long after their big win, their lives were turned upside down when Barry cheated on her with work a colleague, leading to their eventual divorce.<\/p>\n

    And now, The Sun reports, Mcleod was the victim of violence from Chuwen at his Paisley home. They got together last year after Chuwen's spilt from his wife. Both Mcleod and Jenny worked for his firm MQ Estate Agents. <\/p>\n

    His lawyer Charlie McCusker told Paisley Sheriff Court: \u201cHe has been struggling despite good fortune in the past. His personal life is a bit of a mess.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Chuwen added: "During this difficult time in our lives, I developed a relationship with someone who I met through work. I have apologised to Jenny and our children.\u201d<\/p>\n

    He pled guilty to attacking Ms McLeod. His lawyer said Chuwen was in \u201ctemporary\u201d digs then \u201crented accommodation\u201d following his arrest.<\/p>\n
