Next-gen Dodge Charger teased in new holiday commercial

Stellantis has also confirmed that a more powerful engine is in the works, which could be reserved for the Hellcat & SRT versions

Dodge has released a new holiday commercial video, which gives us the first teaser of the upcoming Charger.

The brief animated teaser features the next-gen Dodge Charger finished in Red. It looks very similar to the brand’s Daytona EV concept unveiled last year. The upcoming Charger is said to continue with its retro-styling, featuring a chiselled front, hood bulges and muscular line that extends to the car’s rear.

Reports also suggest that the car will retain dimensions similar to the Daytona concept. However, a few changes from the concept include the use of the traditional circular headlamps instead of the lightbar on the Daytona. The production version could also be a sedan featuring rear doors with the handles hidden. A few other changes between the concept & production version include larger side mirrors, a sporty front bumper and an aggressive bonnet.

Powering the new Dodge Charger will be an in-line 6-cylinder engine offered in two states of tune. The entry-level version produces 400 BHP & 610 Nm, while the higher-powered version offers 500 BHP and 644 Nm. Stellantis has also confirmed that a more powerful engine is in the works, which could be reserved for the Hellcat & SRT versions of the muscle car. There will also be an electric version, although Dodge hasn’t revealed any of its details.

A small note in the video also mentions that the new-gen Dodge Charge could be “available in late 2024.”
