Along the world’s most insane cave road so tense people are ‘gasping for breath’

Suffocating footage of a driver's journey through a "chlostrophobic cave" has left viewers so tense they were "gasping for breath."

Many even said they could feel a panic attack coming on as they watched the car twist and turn through a tight tunnel in China while the walls appear to close in.

The clip, which has gone viral, was posted on X (formerly Twitter), with people comparing it to everything from a course from Mario Kart, the Batcave – and even a colonoscopy.

One X user said: "I was getting the panics just watching that. I think I would have to be a passenger and either asleep or knocked out and driven through so I could say I've been there!"

Another wrote: "Whew. I’m glad they made it. Mercy that was intense."

While another posted: "How has noone at Warner Brothers and DC Comics shot the opening to a Batman movie here? This is a great entrance/exit to the Batcave."

One said: "It looks like something out of Mario Kart."

Another commented "I’m too claustrophobic. Kudos to the brave souls who tunneled this out!"

While one posted: "Yikes!! Not been through it, nor would I want to! Getting claustrophobic just looking!"

Another said: "My "Nope" scale maxed out 5 seconds in."

One added: "I would never drive through there, watching this is leaving me gasping for breath."

Wheras one joked: "Somebody's released the video of my last colonoscopy."

It's not the only scary tunnel road in China. The Guoliant Tunnel is carved along the side of and through the Taihang Mountains in Huxian.

The tunnel is 1.2 kilometres (0.75 mi) long, 5 metres (16 ft) tall and 4 metres (13 ft) wide.

It opened to traffic in May 1977 and has turned the village into a tourist atttaction.
