Inside UK town ‘beyond help’ with rat plague and boozy children’s parks

Part of a UK town has been dubbed “beyond help” with rats everywhere and evidence of parks being used for boozing.

“Drinkers leave their empties in kids’ play areas,” UK Explored said, speaking in his video The WORST & Most SHOCKING Areas in Slough Uncovered: Public Order Notices, Rats & Worse! From the evidence he supplied, he might have a point.

He took a trip to the Baylis area and Baylis Park, where the big open space has seemingly been overrun by undesirable behaviour. During the footage, he found a sign declaring a public protection order.

“It looks like Slough Borough Council are trying to crack down on people drinking and taking drugs in public spaces… as well as urinating, defecating and spitting in public… It does say you can spit on the floor and then collect it, so that’s something I guess.”

He took a wander around Bayliss Park, where he noted that the area had fallen into a state unbecoming of its role in the city. “It was more like I’d discovered some kind of lost park, than the centrepiece of the community,” he said.

As he went, he pointed out various signs asking people not do certain things, like litter or feed the birds. Then, he pointed out people taking part in a number of activities in the park, like littering and feeding the birds.

“Baylis Park is a huge open space and should be a space that everyone can enjoy and experience some nature and some quiet time away from the looming industrial presence in Slough – but it’s been trashed.”

He noted that it was “poorly maintained and there was litter “everywhere.” He added: “I wouldn’t chance passing through here at night.”
