The Met Office has said snow is "likely" for some Brits later this week as a cold weather snap is on the way.
Temperatures are expected to reach 23C in the south today (Tuesday, October 10) where conditions have been unseasonably warm for the last few days. Further north highs of 19C can be expected today, although from tomorrow onwards the mercury will drop.
The Met Office said heavy rain is now expected, with the heaviest coming in Wales on Wednesday (October 11). Central and southern parts of England and Wales can also expect a "very wet" day on Friday (October 13).

Colder conditions will eek in further north meaning "snow is likely" on higher ground in Scotland. And by the weekend the Met Office expects temperatures to be 10C lower than the highs we have seen so far this week.
Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Brent Walker said: "As we head through the second half of this week cold air will push southwards across the country and there is a risk that showers over mountains of Scotland could turn wintry. By the weekend we expect all regions of the UK to be in the cold airmass and overnight frosts are possible.
"With high pressure continuing to dominate our weather early next week, it will start largely fine, settled, and cool by day, with cold nights and a risk of rural air frosts in places. Any early morning mist or fog should clear quickly and there could be a few showers possible around some coasts at times."
Yesterday (Monday, October 9) advanced weather modelling maps from WX Charts showed snow was on the horizon for some this weekend. On Sunday (October 15), the white stuff could be coming down at a rate of 2cm per hour over Cairngorms National Park and Northumberland National Park.
