Mahindra recalls over 1.10 lakh XUV700 & XUV400 EVs in India

The vehicles will be inspected and the issue will be rectified free of cost.

Mahindra has announced a recall of over 1.10 lakh units of the XUV700 and XUV400 EV.

According to the company, 1,08,306 units of the XUV700 manufactured between June 8, 2021, and June 28, 2023 and 3,560 units of the XUV400 manufactured between February 16, 2023 and June 5, 2023, have been affected.

The XUV700 will be inspected for a “potential risk of abrasion cut of wiring loom”, while the XUV400 will be checked for “ineffective spring return action of the brake potentiometer”.

Owners of the affected cars will be personally contacted by the company. The vehicles will be inspected and the issue will be rectified free of cost.
