Denver weather: Sunny and warm, rain on Friday, over Labor Day weekend

A wave of warm and dry conditions kicks in Tuesday and will bring sunshine and summer heat to metro Denver through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Light wind will blow across the city in the afternoons, weather service forecasters said.

The high temperature Tuesday will be 85 degrees, decreasing to 57 degrees at night, forecasters said. On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to hit 94 degrees, increasing to 95 on Thursday and staying above 90 through Saturday.

Meteorologists anticipated possible afternoon rain and thunderstorms on Friday and over the Labor Day weekend.

The air quality across metro Denver should be good on Tuesday, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment.
