Iranian group puts up job ads for suicide bombers who want to attack Israel

Hamas member recounts Israel massacre in horrifying detail

An Iranian group has launched a bizarre recruitment campaign for suicide bombers willing to die in an attack on Israel.

The militant group is named Hezbollah but is different from the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group with the same name.

The ads popped up in the southeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, a significant place in Shia Islam.

The posters ask for potential recruits’ personal details, like any job applicant, the MailOnline reports.

However, the job also calls on recruits to join a “special battalion of martyr seekers for Palestine”.

The posters declares that “it is time for Jihad”.

The job advert even gives the potential suicide bombers the choice of a motorcycle or a car for the assignment.

Another poster from the group, which was shared by a Telegram channel close to the group, shows fighters arriving at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, one of Islam’s holiest sites, while waving Iran’s flag.

The fight over the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been a major flashpoint in recent years between Israel and Palestinians, as well as the wider Islamic world.

Tawab, a local of Mashhad in Iran, told MailOnline that the posters have made residents uneasy.

He said: “I have seen these posters in several places in the city, but no one seems willing to take such a perilous path.

“It makes the face of the city scary.”

Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, both Sunni groups in Palestine, receive substantial support from Iran, including weapons, training, and economic aid.

Earlier today, the UK foreign secretary, James Cleverly, held a rare phone call with his Iranian counterpart about the situation in Gaza.

He warned Iranian foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, against escalating the crisis, amid fears of a regional spillover.

Mr Amir-Abdollahian insisted that Iran does not control militant groups in the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, or Yemen.
